I have been away from an academic environment for close to a year. Following a career change, a mental health crisis, the death of my mum and starting a new job, I found myself coming face to face with those nagging little thoughts once I started my Masters again:

READY, SET, SELFIE: A COSMETICS PERSPECTIVE ON PRODUCT BRANDING TO GET YOU SELFIE READY.

One of the most talked about topics in the discussion on online identity and presentation is the selfie. It’s the topic that bores me the most in my studies in digital communication, but I’ve found my own spin on the topic.

Did you know about these products? To be honest, many beauty addicts may not even recall these flash (see what I did there) in the pan products (we’re bombarded, ahem, presented with multiple product launches DAILY) and they left as quickly as they entered the marketplace.

This isn’t going to be an article bashing gimmick products. I do that on the daily IRL – call me the salt bae of cosmetics. What I do want to do is present to my readers how a concept in communications can be taken to the product development level in the cosmetics industry.

Thursday Thoughts #1 My voice

Today is Thursday my dudes. Just so you know.

Writing in long form is something that comes easily to me, but keeping a post to under 300 words is insanity. Truly.
